I bought this sombrero in Mexico for the kids. We had fun playing with it all day! I'm so glad to be home.

back to reality

We got home from our trip, and everything was just like we left it. CHAOS!! There was crazy Ian running around in and out of our backdoor. Tator kept licking Ian's potty training chair. GROSS!! Dylan and Sophie were giggling up a storm, and poor mom and dad looked exhausted. They said they LOVED every minute.

THANKS YOU SO MUCH!!! Our little souvenirs that we bought them would never be payment enough!!! HA HA HA. But they enjoyed those too. Got mom Mexican chocolate covered macadamia nuts, dad a hat and tshirt, Ian a toy airplane, and the kids a sombrero.

Before they left mom and dad wanted to see where the new house will be, so we packed up the kids and went to see if they had done anything yet.

Day 5- Adios Amigos- time to DETOX

So I have finished 1 1/2 books, and my glass is finally empty. I guess it is time to go. I need my bottle water to start the detox!!



Don't know when we will see each other again. Hope we will be back soon. Thanks Mexico!!




Headed back home.... I am well rested, have a great tan, slightly injured liver and many memories. But I'm missing the babies very very much. I'm looking forward to hearing all the crazy stories mamaw and papaw have to tell me.

Day 4- Ok Wilbur I will have one more....

Today started off with Wilbur (our cabana boy) serving us mudslides and miami vices at 10:00am. This was the beginning of a long long day of sitting by the pool and just relaxing. Thanks wilbur for never letting our glasses go empty.



Continued the day at the pool being lazy, enjoyed the great weather.





I even convinced darren to go boogie boarding in the ocean. The waves were great, and I had a blast. Darren lost his sunglasses and the only injury we had was when i scraped my knee on some rocks. Very great day, sunshine, fun, and good drinks!!

Our last night....my liver is starting to hurt!




CHEERS TO A GREAT VACATION IN MEXICO


I getting very excited about going home, and I cant wait to see the babies. Mom promised me that they haven't done anything cute while we were gone!! GOOD, sounds like I didn't miss much, just some stinky diapers!

DAY 3- A little more action

Darren and my ideas of vacations are very different. He would rather sit by the beach hear the waves crash, read a long book, and sip on a dos xx (Mexican beer). My idea is to do everything and anything the vacation has to offer, snorkling, city tour, shopping, any and all activities, so that when you are finished with your vacation you actually need a vacation from your vacation. I usually convince darren to do a couple of more exciting things if I promise to sit still for a couple of days by the pool. Today I made him go on a jungle tour. It is a crazy little boat that roams around the ocean and dodges in and out of mangrove trees...SUPER FUN!! Our tour guide was pretty crazy and we really enjoyed it because we were the only ones on the tour.

After we were finished with our boat tour we went back to the resort and headed straight for the pool.






Tomorrow's itinerary -boogie boarding and fun on the beach...and yes just relaxing by the pool and reading a long book.

DAY 2- BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS

7:15am- A shot of vodka (bloody mary) and champagne (mimosa)- yup that's how my day started out. I just love vacation. After I dragged darren down to breakfast, we picked our perfect place by the pool. Why get up so early you ask...it is critical to get a good spot not only by the pool, but by the swim up bar.

I had a good lazy day by the pool and darren had a great day at the swim up bar.
8:45pm-After we stuffed our faces with the all day buffet, we got ready and headed into town, we visited all our favorite bars and did a little shopping

What a way to start a vacation!!! Cant wait to see what tomorrow holds!!

I only called about the babies once and only texted 3 times, and every time mom and dad said both kids were acting like angels....yeah right!!!

Day 1- Viva La MEXICO

Actually getting out of the house and leaving the babies was hard--a few tears...ok maybe a lot of tears but we left and we were on our way to Cancun. Flight was good, customs and passport control was not. I HATE LONG LINES!!! Dont they know we have margaritas to drink!!! As soon as we got the the resort we dropped our bags and headed down to the bar...as this is an all inclusive resort (all drinks and all food included) HEAVEN!!!

We have been to this resort 4 or 5 times and this is why.

Went to bed early and a little tipsy. MUST get good rest for we have a day full of fun tomorrow!!!

CANT SLEEP

i am up early today, couldn't sleep. I'm gonna miss my sweet sweet babies. I love them soooooo much.

Hoping that they will be good and have fun adventures with mamaw and papaw.

Hoping that the weather is good, drinks are cold, and my sun chair is positioned just right in MEXICO!!

Please be good. Dont give papaw too many kisses or too many stinky things to pick up in the back garden. Remember.....we only play with toys not mamaw's reading glasses.

please don't do anything too cute while I'm away. (this includes growing too much, getting your 1st tooth, saying mama....etc.)

Had a great day with mamaw and papaw today. Went to the park and had a blast. Tomorrow off to mexico. Gonna go love on the babies as much as I can before I leave.
