now thats just gross

DEFINITION-

vomiting- (vom/it/ing)- forcible ejection of contents of stomach through the mouth

projectile vomiting- explosive vomiting that is extremely forceful, with vomitus expelled some distance-

No matter how you define it ITS JUST GROSS!

Williams household has now been infected with some kind of stomach bug, and I blame the pediatrician!!
Kids not only got their jabs on monday, but also picked up a stomach bug at the same time!
Everyone was healthy when we went to the infectious pediatricians office (the kids 15th month well child check) , 24hrs later--projectile vomiting. Hopefully this only lasts 24hrs. BOO HOO

Here are some kids stats from the visit

BABY A---aka Sophie
weight- 19lbs 11oz (8th percentile, I was worried but doc says shes fine just tiny)
Height- 30 1/2 inches
head 45 1/2 cm
Still only 4 teeth---but gums look swollen in the back--molars are coming soon.

MISS Sophie as we call her- is quiet and reserved, but don't let her fool you she is really the BOSS. She loves clapping along to music and her most favorite activity if climbing. She can climb on anything, she is definitely our little monkey! Despite climbing on everything Sophie is such a girly girl. She loves to play dress up, wear bracelets, put on chap stick and carry her little purse everywhere. Even though she is quiet she can certainly throw a tantrum "throbber" if things aren't going her way. She is defiantly a Mommy's girl

So talented too!

BABY B----aka Dylan
weight 21lbs 11.5oz (15th percentile)
Height- 30 inches
Head- 47 1/2cm
Dylan has 6 teeth--and man was it a time with those molars AHHH!

Dylan loves dancing to music (especially Yo Gabba Gabba)and making lots of noise (pretty much banging anything around...such a boy thing). He love to babble to whomever is listening his favorite saying--"whats that". Favorite game is to run around naked being chased. He is our loud, crazy personality, who always is laughing and giggling. Bless his little heart he is still the clumsiest little man ever, and you will usually see him with a bump or a bruise of some kind. Dylan still loves his buddy and is definitely a daddy's boy

So talented!

I am so blessed to have such amazing babies. I cant believe it has been 15months!!

Its Christmas time in the OK city

How in the world has my mother done it all these years??? Entertaining everyone, while making breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks etc..
I thought it would be fun to host Christmas at my house this year, and while it was fun it was pretty stressful too. Jeremy and Carrie came down from Minnesota, Jonathan and Ian, Mom and Dad came from Dallas, and of course our crazy bunch made a house full of hooligans. We had a lot of laughs, enjoyed dads "cherry rum cokes", made fun of each other during game night (Pictionary was the big hit) and all around had a great weekend. Looking back the stress was well worth it. I don't have all the pictures downloaded yet, but here is a sneak peak of our Christmas shenanigans.

Thanks to Carrie and her amazing talent of cooking we all gained 100lbs!! She made homemade cinnamon buns, raspberry orange trifle, buttermilk pancakes, white chocolate cookies and a cheesecake.

Waiting for auntie Carries homemade buttermilk pancakes

CHRISTMAS MORNING~~~~~~~

Don't know how Santa fit all of this in his Christmas sack!

Too many stockings to fit on the mantle.

ITS PRESENT TIME!

Forget about the presents---the wrapping paper is FUN

this wasn't even their present, but they INSISTED on helping unwrap it!

What a monkey!

CHRISTMAS DINNER- ham, homemade mac n cheese, roasted potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts (Darren's and dads fav), green bean casserole, and a winter salad. DELISH!!

yummy Christmas dinner. (I actually got to enjoy dinner since the babies were taking their afternoon nap)

Everyone with their Christmas cracker hats on!

(yes MOM, I cut myself out of the picture..it was a no makeup or hair day due to a day of slaving in the kitchen, and besides I can do what I want its MY blog!! I should mention in the original picture you were HIDING behind my head, SILLY!

We had a great time and I was so glad to be with my family, but we were certainly missing our Welsh family too. I think I'm done hosting Christmas for awhile...Brenda I think its your turn next year :) ha ha! Love and miss you guys!

Santa Baby

We are trying to have fun here in the cold! So Darren and I made a night of some adult beverages and sitting by the warm fire pit.

Took the kiddos out this afternoon to deliver some Christmas cards to the neighbors.
BRRRR its cold outside. (by the way Houston was at 72 today, SO jealous!)

Had to get everyone bundled up, with coats, mittens and of course their fancy hats!

What a bunch of cutie pies!

So we finally got to see Santa. I wont mention the bad experience we had trying to go a second time.
But finally on our third visit we finally met SANTA!! and boy was it worth the wait :P

Don't worry they didn't cry for long

Merry Christmas everyone!!

ps. There are lots of goodies under the tree, I'm just dying to get at!!

silly things

Things are finally getting back to normal now that Darren is back from Houston. Boy did we miss him.
Here is some funny things that went on this week...besides the window incident. (which I can now laugh at)

Our version at Christmas lights...no we didn't go the "professional" route. It took Darren and I an afternoon to string lights up in the backyard and front yards.
Pictures didn't turn out the best, but its looks good in person.

WHAT IS GOING ON IN WALES??
I have spent a couple of Christmases there and while it has been BLISTERING cold it has never snowed like this.

Aimee and Elin playing in the snow

Grandad playing in the snow.

Looks like fun, wishing we were there to play with them!

Funny---
So everyone knows I'm still freaked out about tornadoes....I found this in the Target parking lot. These people are crazy. They actually chase down tornadoes.
Ok.....so why are they here now.......should I worry. :P

I was playing with my phn and snapped these silly photos of my monkeys.

They are obsessed with this.... a singing christmas tree. They beg me to play the song over and over and over. They dance to the music, it is so cute!! I cant help but laugh, but I will be glad when the batteries finally run out.

Cant wait for Christmas, everyone is coming to the new house!! I guess my stress level needed to be put to the test just a little bit more. HA HA HA!!

bah humbug!!!

what a horrible week. The kids and I were still sick so we were forced to cancel our trip to Houston. I was SO looking forward to seeing friends!! Although we had to cancel our flight, Darren couldn't. So he was off to Houston for a week while I stayed here with 2 sick kids :(

Dylan and Sophie started feeling better and I had gotten some half decent sleep so I decided that I would take the kids to visit Santa. I knew this would be a hard chore by myself but I was feeling brave and thought I could handle it. OR so I thought!
The problems started before we even left the house!!

I decided the best time to leave would be after lunch, and since it was a weekday I didn't think the mall would be too crowded with shoppers. So while Dylan and Sophie were stuffing their little faces of peas and grilled cheese sandwiches I tried to load the car up.
I went into the garage.

Diaper bag - Check
Stroller- Check
Car seats- Check

Everything was ready to go....so I tried to go back in the house. I turned the handle the door wouldn't open. WTF!!!
YUP I LOCKED MYSELF OUT OF THE HOUSE WITH THE BABIES INSIDE. I panicked and ran around the house praying that I had left the back door open or a window- NO SUCH LUCK. So then I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I had no phn, no access into the house, our neighbors are gone, Darren was gone to Houston. AHHHHHH! I peeped in the windows and kids were happy as can be (thankgod). I decided I couldn't wait for a lock smith--it would have probably taken over 2hrs and had no phn to get ahold of one anyway.
SO my options were---break down a door or smash in a window.
I choose the quickest and what I thought would be least damaging.
So I BROKE INTO MY OWN HOUSE!!! Here is the damage

Should I mention that this was a DOUBLE glass window with a screen. it wasn't a pretty site and luckily i didn't cut myself.

Once I got in I tried to fix it up, but decided to call in a professional window guy

He did a much better job

So after all this chaos I decided we were not going to see Santa.
Then as the afternoon went on I didn't want to be grumpy so close to Christmas, so I changed my mind. Got the kids loaded up, drove to the mall, unloaded the kids, stood in line for about 15min to see Santa.....then was told by a grumpy cabbage smelling elf....Santa needed a milk and cookie break and would be gone for 1hr 30min. WTF!!!!
BAH HUMBUG!!!!
Loaded the kids up and back home we went without seeing Santa :(
Guess we will have to try another day.

I was so glad this day was almost over.

its really really cold

Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile. But we are all still sick sick sick. It has definitely taken some time to get acclimated to this cold weather. It certainly is a balancing act. We turn the heaters on to warm the house up, but it makes the air so dry. So we have humidifiers to add some moisture, but then that cools down the air so we have to turn the heaters up. aHHHH. All I know is that its cold and my throat hurts.
Every morning we have ice on the road. Here is some from the front of our driveway.

The blistering cold is killing our plants too. Grandad we need your help in the spring!!

our poor rose bushes :(

I sure am missing Houston. Yesterday in Houston the high got to 77. We were at a high of 42. But when ever I'm complaining I always remind myself of Jeremy and Carrie in Minnesota.

This is in Minneapolis--High of 4degrees and low of -13. and more than 20inches of snow hit yesterday.

OK --I guess Oklahoma isn't that bad

Please pray for us to get better!!!

im exhausted

This week has been a whirlwind...and I'm officially POOPED OUT!
I started my job this last week at my new hospital, and of course like clockwork things start to go crazy. I came down with a horrible case of bronchitis, and didn't have a voice for two days. Poor Dylan developed an eye infection, and Sophie developed croup. I stayed up with Sophie for a couple of nights doing the hot sauna routine in the bathroom to help her breathe a little bit easier. She was so sad, she sounded like a little seal barking, but luckily she is on the mend now. I'm still struggling with Dylan to put his eye drops in, but things are getting better on his end too.
THANK GOD for nanny Emily, she has been SO awesome. This week would have been impossible if it hadn't been for her.

Before everyone had gotten sick we had a family outing to the mall. Its no Houston Galleria but its pretty nice.

Darren LOVES it because he found a "proper" Kebab shop

I'm really not a huge fan of kebabs, since it looks like some unknown meat product that has been sitting out for god knows how long. But it reminded Darren of the UK so I gave in and I tried it,after all I was pretty sure I had a full bottle of peptobismol for a dodgy stomach at home!!

It was actually really good and even Sophie and Dylan liked it!!

Even better---no one came down with a dodgy stomach :)

Well I hope this week is LESS eventfully...and I'm praying for good health here in the Williams household.
Till next time!!
