BIG Brother and Sister

So as much as possible Darren and I have been trying to prepare Dylan and Sophie for the arrival of Katie. We purchased books for them and read them constantly, I took Sophie to one of my doctor appts, but now it seems like nothing we did or could have done would have prepared them for me being away from them and having a new sister. There were a few tears (mainly out of frustration that I wasn't coming home with them) but all in all they were excited and VERY curious about Katie

Sophie especially wanted to hold and cuddle Katie

OUR FIRST COMPLETE family photo!! not everyone if looking at the camera, but I'm assuming we wont get a "good" photo of everyone for years to come

Part of the suggestions we got in introducing Katie was to get Dylan and Sophie a present from Katie.
Sophie got a new baby and Dylan got a train

This is Dylan showing off his new present.

Sister love

Dylan is so excited to be the BIG brother

Thanks Auntie Carrie for the treats, Dylan especially loved them

WELCOME BABY KATHRYN

Well the big day is here.. we are so excited and nervous all at once. It is an very early and I didn't get much sleep last night. Had to be at the hospital at 5am. AHHHH!
On our way into the hospital

I'm trying to get settled in my room...getting anxious! Oh and I'm still mad at Darren since at this point we STILL haven't chosen the name.
Top Names- Lily Grace, Kathryn Elizabeth

Proud daddy...getting nervous too

There were supposed to be more pictures at this point..but things were rushed and it was off to surgery we go. The anesthesiologist had a hard time with my spinal medicine getting placed correctly, blood pressure dropped so they had to load me up on fluids (hence the bloaty looking pictures later)I was getting so nauseous that I couldn't think straight...but then.... I heard the sweetest cry ever!!

WELCOME KATHRYN ELIZABETH!!

all 8lbs and 1oz!!

Such a proud daddy!!

Our 1st family picture

We couldn't be more excited for our new addition...

Baby 3

Haven't really posted much about our new addition (I'M SO EXCITED ABOUT) So I thought I would share some pretty amazing photos of baby 3.

I know its crazy that we keep calling baby 3...baby 3, but Darren and I still haven't found a name that we both can completely agree on. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. If we left it up to Dylan and Sophie the names would be... Shreck, Thomas, Princess, Nana, and Pink. (don't think those are gonna work)

This pregnancy has been good and bad, and luckily I have had more good days than bad. Only a couple of nauseous moments but other than that the only complaint is HEART BURN, and I mean BURN!!!
I think baby 3 is going to be a karate champion, kung fu master or soccer/football star, She certainly can KICK. (her favorite time to kick is about 3AM.
Doctor says everything is going great so it looks like I will make it to a planned Csection on DEC 1ST. What a great Xmas present!

Cant decided who she looks like yet--- I know she is JUST PERFECT!!!

Cant believe I'm gonna be a mom of 3!!

On shaky ground

Going to check on Sophie and Dylan before I head off to bed...the whole house starts to shake what in the world!! yup an EARTHQUAKE...this would be 1 of 3 that we felt at the house.

I should mention that number 3 earthquake was felt during a tornado warning AHHHHHH!!!!

Just a thought....Texas is looking really really good right now. I'm missing you HOUSTON!!

So when I say earthquake, it wasn't like the ones where buildings were falling down and people were hurt.... it really shook the house good, but not even a picture fell off the wall. It kind of became a joke around here that we "survived"

OH Oklahoma what are we gonna do with you!

Rotten Teeth

Someone needs to come to the house and collect all the candy back.

Sophie wanted to "help" cook dinner...this was her choice for dinner.
She definitely has her fathers sweet tooth.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

The house is getting spooky...spiders all around.

Kids are ready for their 1st trick or treating.
Sophie--as a cute Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader
Dylan- as Thomas the Tank Engine.

What a handsome choo choo

Darren and I didn't dress up this year, things were a little hectic trying to get the little ones ready. Thank goodness for my great friend Christy for loaning me this shirt. Can you believe she actually made this..

Sophie getting ready to do a Halloween CHEER!! GO CANDY!!!

Such goofy kids!

Sophie decided that she wasn't just a cheerleader....she was a PRINCESS cheerleader and had to show us her moves

Enough pictures----time for trick or treating, off to the 1st house!

Stopped to take one more picture with our neighbor friend Camryn...she is so cute as Strawberry shortcake

1st house---kids were a little shy and didn't know what to expect.

They sure got the hang of it by the end of the night----saying
" TRICK OR TREAT!!!! CANDY PLEASE"

now what are we gonna do with all of this candy?

Torture??

So Halloween is finally here!! The house is so excited. Decorations are up, candy is purchased and ready to be handed out. Dylan and Sophie's costumes are ready....did I forget something?? NOPE, even Tator and Matilda are in the Halloween mood. Ok, so maybe they aren't as excited as we are but sure is fun dressing them up too every year. We went with the prince and princess theme this year.

Matilda as a prince....

Tator as a unicorn with a princess on her back

What a pair!!

As you can tell they just LOVED IT...well they love all of the hot dogs I bribed them with

What good sports they are...luckily I didn't torture them for long. LUV U matilda and tator
